The most important question on can ask a church is "What do you believe?" Our congreagation identifies with the Biblical beliefs of early Southern Baptist (1689 Baptist Confession). About salvation:
- We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the only absolte truth.
- We Believe that God is one God in three persons--God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- We believe that all men are sinners by nature and acts, deserving God's wrath. All men are unable to save themselves from God's wrath by good works and are unable to change themselves without God's work in their hearts.
- We believe that God saves men from beginning to end by His Sovereign Grace, none deserving mercy more than any other. This includes the gifts of repentance and faith.
- We believe that Jesus Christ died to save His people from their sins and will not lose any. All are called to come to Him for salvation.
- We believe that God works first in all He saves and draws them to Himself by His spirit, giving them repentance and faith in Christ in the new birth. Upon repenting from sins and submitting to Christ as Lord, God forgives sin, grants eternal life, and cares for His children.
- We believe that all whom God saves will be preserved by God's power to the end of their life. Also, all whom God preserves will persevere in Chirst to the end, bearing the fruit of repentance and faith with a godly life.
