What to Expect

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Clinton

We are so glad you’re considering joining us for worship! Our goal is to center everything we do on the Lord Jesus Christ, and we want you to feel right at home from the moment you walk through our doors.

What to Expect on Sunday

Our morning service begins at 10:45 am and lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. You’ll find a warm atmosphere where we:

  • Sing Together: We lift our voices in hymns that celebrate our faith and the glory of God. Specifically, we use the Baptist Edition of the blue Trinity Hymnal.
  • Confess our Faith: We reflect on our shared heritage using the Second London Baptist Confession.
  • Study the Word: Our Senior Pastor spends about 45 minutes preaching directly from Scripture, as we believe God’s Word is the heart of worship.
  • Observe the Ordinances: We occasionally celebrate Baptisms and regularly conclude our morning service by partaking in the Lord's Supper together.

Sunday Afternoon Schedule

We would love for you to stay and get to know our church family better!

  • 12:15 pm – Fellowship Meal: Join us in the fellowship hall for lunch, free of charge. It’s a wonderful time to meet others as we mingle and encourage one another.
  • 1:45 pm – Afternoon Worship: Following lunch, we gather again for our afternoon service.

Common Questions

What should I wear?
You’ll see a mix of everything here—some folks dress up, others keep it casual. We’re more interested in having you with us than in what you’re wearing.

Is there childcare?
Yes! We provide a safe, caring nursery for children up to age 4 so you can focus on the service.

What if the sanctuary is full?
Don't worry! We have a comfortable overflow area in the fellowship hall where you can watch the service via closed-circuit TV.

We invite you to worship our Triune God with us this Sunday. We pray you find our services nourishing and Christ-centered!
